Here are just a few clips and images of this year's Great Tit family leaving the nest box.
We noted 6 chicks fly off yet believe there were more. The clip above shows the first one leaving the box.
The chicks were a bit earlier than last season’s brood too.
Above: another youngster leaves our homemade nesting box.
Above: only out of the nest box minutes ago and already calling for mum to bring food.
Above: the strikingly distinctive markings of the adult Great Tit.
All intrusive trimming of trees/shrubs etc should now be halted.
The families of birds urgently require the shelter of hedgerows, brambles, and other thickets to raise the families in.
