The REAL (civil) war is happening right in our midst today. UPDATED.

Evil is as Evil does… as the laughing millionaires running the UK rat race celebrate their VILE plans to starve millions of the UK’s worst off!

Where are all the caring politicians, where is the so-called compassion?

'In the UK, an astonishing one in 11 adults serves as unpaid carers, a role that extends far beyond mere assistance. These 5.7 million people constitute a vital segment of society, providing care for their loved ones. Yet Labour’s cuts to Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will cut nearly £650 million in support from around 150,000 carers. So, Carers UK has taken a stand.

Unpaid carers; saving the government £184 billion – yet the DWP will cut their benefits, anyway.

Even the Citizens Advice (CA) has exposed the outrageous stupidity of the UK Government's attack of its own residents with their latest paper.

I make no apologies for reiterating the CA stance...

“By refusing to properly consult on its plan to cut billions from disability benefits, the government is choosing not to ask questions it doesn’t want the answers to. The cuts will have a devastating impact on disabled people (and their children), sending hundreds of thousands into poverty, and many more into deeper poverty. This will result from a series of arbitrary reforms that have been designed around savings targets rather than improving outcomes, inflicting hardship on people in ways that the government doesn’t yet fully understand.”

  • The government used a dubious sleight of hand to reduce the number of people likely to be pushed into poverty. It counted people who would have been affected by the Tory WCA changes which never happened as having been lifted from poverty they were never actually put in.  So, rather than 250,000 being pushed into relative poverty by Labour, CA thinks it could be as many as 400,000.
  • The Green Paper doesn’t attempt to work out how many people will lose both PIP and the UC health element as a result of the changes, or how much they will lose.
  • The government document doesn’t analyse how many people already in poverty will be more deeply entrenched in poverty as a result of the cuts, although an FoI request has suggested this will be 700,000 people.

Let's just digest this fact for a moment. Now we have a government - supported advice organisation (CA) that's so outraged at disability cuts that it's actually advising people that their own clueless government has lost the plot!

Without doubt, this is evidence that a case of 'no confidence' must surely be made against UK's current bumbling government.

Recent research has unveiled that the contribution of  unpaid carers is valued at an eye-watering £184 billion annually. However, this figure may not fully encapsulate their true worth, as a significant 36% of carers take more than three years to acknowledge their caregiving role.

Despite their invaluable contributions, a staggering 55% of these individuals feel undervalued by society. Many are grappling with the heavy toll that caregiving takes on their mental and physical well-being.

A recent study highlighted that eight out of ten carers foresee worsening health impacts in the coming years. Such stark reveals underline the need for greater recognition and support for these unsung heroes – not lease from the DWP.'

Governments do not get more evil than this one.
