First painting done in quite some time

 

I have not undertaken any painting for quite a long time. 

This acrylic was enjoyable to create and took about ten hours to finish off, in two sessions. 

Back in the days of the Palette Club in Southport at the Atkinson Art Gallery I exhibited art every year. I also ran a few solo art exhibitions elsewhere. 

I always rebelled against authority at school, yet the art teacher, Nigel Dickson, was an OK guy and started me on the right track. 

While I was painting this one I found myself several times thinking - "What would Nigel think about this one."  

However, we all tend to change and move into different things. In fact, every day I do paint yet usually only vintage - style angling floats that I make.

I just need to get this new painting into a frame and then figure out what the next one will be based on...
