Craft Fayre Fun this Saturday

Craft fair season seems to be upon us, and craft fairs are bursting out everywhere. Here are three such great events with free entry.

Our Southport Crafts, Arts & Preloved Items fayre is in Birkdale this Saturday 18th March 11am to 4pm. Mother’s Day weekend fun to share with all the family!

As well as lots of great sellers we will be joined by the fabulous ‘Banks Bouncy Castles and Soft Play Hire’ (weather permitting) with their castles and a sweet trolley! We have a lovely face painter who will be there from 12 to 3pm.

Playdough and colouring table for the children too. Come and visit us and look at the many beautiful crafts and stalls on show and sit down with a hot drink whilst your children have fun.

Joining us too are two ladies who are having a stall to raise money for a charity for children with cancer.

Profits from our raffle (three separate prizes, an Easter hamper or one of two lovely flower planters) and the money their stall raises will be donated to the charity. The Owen McVeigh Foundation, one very worthwhile charity indeed.

Southport Crafts, Arts & Preloved Items fayre encompasses stalls with handmade crafts, art, as well as stalls containing preloved items. There are so many beautiful handmade crafts made by small businesses, which need to be admired and make wonderful unique gifts.

The fayres are held every 3rd Saturday in the month, at St Peter’s Church St Peter’s Road Birkdale Southport PR8 4BY.

Two other local events on Saturday 1st April are the ‘Formby Maker’s Market’, which is held the first Saturday of every month and ‘We grow’ which is held in Radnor Drive in Churchtown.

‘We Grow’ is a social enterprise run by Autism Initiatives
that provides supported work placements for young autistic people to gain real work skills and build their confidence for future employment.

They grow and sell vegetables, fruit and herbs from the onsite shop in Churchtown and deliver locally.

Autism Initiatives is a national charity formed in Southport in 1972, celebrating its 50th year, and supports autistic people of all ages, their families and carers across the UK and Ireland.

The Formby Market: Makers Market by ‘My Sweet Retreat’ has two local markets over the next few weeks for you to visit. They have lots of very talented traders and it is definitely worth a visit for a special gift or treat for yourself.

To contact us to have a Birkdale stall phone or text 07548262061 or email cregan192@yahoo.com

NB. Our next Birkdale fayre will be held on Saturday 15th April.
