Mystery solved: houses shaken as anxious public reports flood in

 

Mystery initially surrounded public anxieties of suspected unknown earth movements and strange noises occurring this morning (15/2/2022).  

Posts on social media indicated that the occurrences were felt in various areas in and surrounding Southport. 

Birkdale, Ainsdale, Kew, and Shirley hill and also Formby residents highlighted fears after reports of:  houses shaking, booming/rumbling sounds, windows rattling, etc. 

Some people had even speculated that it may have been created by fracking, as was experienced several years ago. .

However, drilling company Cuadrilla was ordered to plug and abandon shale gas fracking wells in Lancashire.  

Nevertheless, OTS News has now apparently established the cause of the disturbance. 

Above: a Eurofighter previously seen on display at a Southport air show. 

The sound was apparently caused by the sonic boom from a Eurofighter Typhoon. The aircraft had been performing manoeuvres this morning around Southport and Preston, prior to traveling back to its base, understood to be RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.
