Paramotor flying machines at Ainsdale

Powered paragliding is also known as paramotoring or PPG.

During this type of ultralight aviation the pilot wears a back-mounted motor (a paramotor).

This delivers enough thrust to take off using a paraglider. It can be launched in still air, and on level ground, by the pilot.
