UK’s New PM Boris Johnson – more hunting to come?

When he was Foreign Secretary, Johnson defended the brutal sport of bullfighting at a dinner to celebrate Anglo-Spanish relations.

Johnson launched his defence of bullfighting, claiming Spain’s partial ban on the sport is “political correctness gone mad”. The cruelly tortured bulls, however, most likely would have disagreed with him.

Johnson repeatedly voted against a ban on fox hunting in the early 2000s, when he was MP for Henley.

As London's mayor, Boris  absurdly suggested introducing hunting in the capital after his pussy cat was mauled by a fox, saying: “This will cause massive unpopularity but I don’t care.”

David Cameron stated on 3 March 2015 that he hoped to repeal the ban and planned a free vote in the House of Commons.

With blood-thirsty Boris in power can the UK now expect to see him call for a reintroduction of hunting with hounds, something that many Tories apparently love, in the UK?
