This must be the very height of religious hypocrisy.
Does this mean that the Pope will also now be telling his faithful flock to stop accepting centuries of unscientific Vatican hocus-pocus, rather than the word of (admittedly sham) modern scientific opinions that he is comically promoting so strongly today?
Perhaps this hypocritical religious leader has forgotten about wicked Christian persecution of ground-breaking scientists earlier on?
Galileo (1564-1642)
Galileo was convicted in 1633 for publishing his evidence that supported the Copernican theory that the Earth revolves around the Sun. His research was criticised by the Catholic Church for going against the established scripture that places Earth and not the Sun at the centre of the universe. Galileo was found "vehemently suspect of heresy" for his heliocentric views and was required to "abjure, curse and detest" his opinions. He was sentenced to house arrest, where he remained for the rest of his life and his offending texts were banned.
Michael Servetus (1511-1553)
This Spanish physician is credited with discovering pulmonary circulation. He wrote a book, which defined his discovery along with his ideas about reforming Christianity – it was considered to be heretical. He escaped from Spain and the Catholic Inquisition but came up against the Protestant Inquisition in Switzerland, who held him in equal disregard. Under orders from John Calvin, Servetus was arrested, tortured and burned at the stake on the shores of Lake Geneva - copies of his book were accompanied for good measure.
I wonder if the Pope will now tell his trusting flock to throw away their Bibles and listen to what ‘science’ is saying about evolution, etc? This highly confused guy really should be awarded the Hypocrite of the Year award or at least change his career to become an alternative comedian.
Double standards really do stink.
A growing body of scientists is now expressing deep concern over disproportionate claims concerning global warming theories. Theories that have become the ‘Holy Crusade’ of numerous scientists and politicians, perhaps seeking to extend their reputation via ‘supposed’ ecological concern in public circles? It seems that almost everything which goes wrong is somehow or somewhere blamed, by shrewd politicians etc, on supposed Man-made Global Warming (MMGW ). It has become a huge 'Scapegoat entity’ in its own right. In fact, it’s the new version of erroneous, anciently-perceived witchcraft threats for whatever is thought to be wrong within the environment; the new 'Bogey man' that's coming to get us all unless we mend our wicked ways. Ways that are suggested, adopted and then ‘controlled’ by those in power! Volcano, flood, earthquake, forest fire - blame it all on our 'carbon emissions' and get on your "bike" to save the planet!
With first-hand political experience, I have actually seen the thin veneer of deception behind the alleged concern of numerous devious politicians. MMGW is a massive and widely accepted swindle that helps to place these political movers into a better public perception. And better perception equals one thing; more votes in the election booth!
Our politicians, who frequently accept scientifically unconfirmed theories as hard fact, tell us that we burn fossil fuels, which discharge amplified levels of carbon dioxide - the primary so-called 'Greenhouse' gas' into the atmosphere, causing the atmosphere to heat up. They inform us this is global warming and that it's largely our fault! YOUR FAULT!
An increasing lobby of distinguished scientists are now, however, saying that this is utter gobbledygook, but as the industry of Global Warming gets underway the more 'pessimistic' worldview gets majority support because it is a new and lucrative global 'service industry'. MMGW, at least the contemporary frightening, end-of-the-world alarmist description of it, is an ongoing fable.
It is an extremely well-coordinated falsehood that the mind-controllers within society are ingeniously using to keep their monopoly on us. I feel that it is only a question of time until the cat is out of the bag and the rest of the population finally wises up to this mega-scam. I mean, how can politicians ridicule people who believe in UFOs and yet spend BILLIONS of taxpayers' money chasing the phantom of Man-Made Global Warming?
