Emergency services were called to the Marine Way Bridge, Southport shortly after midday (Saturday 4th February 2017). Police apparently arrived to find that a male had been struck by a vehicle traveling along the bridge.
Update, Knife taken away by Police:
A witness has since come forward alleging to OTS News that police have now bagged up and taken away a 'knife' at the accident scene.
OTS News reported earlier that a woman was assaulted by a male near to Southport's pier. Following this assault he jumped in front of a car on the Marine Way Bridge.
