Several vehicles were involved in an accident this morning at the bottom of Formby Bridge and Duke Street.
The road was cordoned off and traffic redirected by helpful people at the scene of the smash.
Substantial damage occurred to several vehicles.
Police eventually arrived with traffic cones.
