Southport Labour – a few hard facts that may not be welcomed by some
Labour is seeking to gain support it seems in Southport.
They have even presented a new article on OTS News.
Mhairi Doyle, Labour candidate for Ainsdale ward, said (grammatical
error left intact)…
“Locally one Tory councillors is under investigation by the
police for money laundering. It begs the question where the huge amount of
funding the Tory Party receives actually comes from?
Ms Doyle is presumably referring to the Barton situation and
that will indeed be an interesting case to watch unfold.
What exactly is Ms Doyle suggesting here? Is she inferring a potential link between the Barton allegations and the larger scandals involving alleged financial irregularities within the Conservative Party as a whole? I believe her words need greater clarification.
Of course, Labour may be congratulated for taking a harder
stance intending to get the truth out against the local Tory clownship, that
exists under group leader, Cllr Terry Jones.
Nevertheless, it must be stated that Labour did absolutely nothing to help needy residents when Ainsdale Tories attacked local residents, via the on-going Woodvale Woodland Project (WWP)
volunteer ban fiasco.
They did nothing when many unacceptable concerns were raised
about the appalling self-promotional conduct of local Tories. This extent of political engineering of some was even 'known' by the Tory group leader.
Somewhat comically, it was announced that the man behind the amazing WWP fiasco, Cllr Ted Hartill, will NOT be defending his seat at the next election and is subsequently retiring.
Sadly for Cllr Hartill, his Conservative colleagues could not even spell his name correctly when presenting this news on their site
Ainsdale's Tories also blocked good proposals to improve needy areas for residents. The Tories (as Labour know) also failed to help in the fight to save the Brookdale Resource Centre.
Then again, did Labour bother to highlight the fact that Tory, Cllr Terry Jones, was sent packing with his tail between his legs after he foolishly sent a legal threat to an Ainsdale family?
Did Labour do anything to highlight such matters to the public?
Therefore, one can only see their latest, pre-election, drum
- rattling as hollow spin that is intended to influence some people who are
simply impressionable to crafty political propaganda tactics.
If the Labour Party is ever to be taken 'seriously' they need
to 'practise what they preach' and be there for residents in need of real help.
The WWP fiasco has been plastered all over many news sites (not alas in our more fickle-hearted newspapers of course though) so the issue is indeed well-
established.
The injustice behind these on-going, politically-biased, situations was
also we believe brought to the attention of Labour brass by other concerned
councillors who had realised how outrageous the Tories had acted against the
community.
The result however was that the community heard
absolutely nothing from Labour. That was the extent of their devotion to local residents
in need.
When the people of Ainsdale needed help the most, Labour was just as invisible as the self-promotional clowns wearing blue.
The old saying comes to mind, ‘When
you want a job doing then do it yourself.’

Truth behind the spin is something that we must all become aware of, because sooner rather than later it will affect us all!
