Sunken craft at Scarisbrick after high winds and rain



Bad news for an unlucky boat owner.

Reasons for this sinking have been debated at some length on this Facebook thread by experienced boating enthusiasts.

Update

I have contacted the Environment Agency who advised me to contact the Canals and River Trust. I have explained the situation to both organisations. They are therefore now on the case. They also advise others to “leave the stricken boat to the professionals” in this instance. They have my contact details if they require more data.
