Paris bombing creates international outrage but a few home truths - over double standards in the UK - must be addressed

Cameron and fundamentalism – he cannot have his cake and eat it!

British PM, David Cameron, says the Muslim ‘silent majority’ must tackle Islamist extremism. This sounds rather simple – but is it, or are we being treated to yet more political double talk?

David Cameron this month said that Islamic religious schools, which teach anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and "fill children with poison and hate" will be investigated and closed down. Well, the PM was also recently telling us all that we live in a “Christian” land.  I seem to recall that Christianity is historically anti- Semitic. Did not the Church blame the Jews for killing the alleged Jesus chap, their so-called Saviour? That was the spin I was force-fed, on the end of a cane or strap, anyway as a very reluctant Birkdale, Catholic schoolboy.

Hitler made quite an art form about being a good Christian gentleman and having to eradicate Jewish folks for being ‘Christ – killers’ etc from the globe. The Church has a long-standing Christian tradition of blaming Jews for killing Christ. Hitler merely capitalised on this existing ecclesiastical philosophy.

Let’s not forget that the celebrated Church reformer, Martin Luther, was ultimately seduced by all the anti-Jewish Church bigotry of his time. He wrote.

“What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews? Since they live among us and we know about their lying and blasphemy and cursing, we cannot tolerate them if we do not wish to share in their lies, curses, and blasphemy. We must prayerfully and reverentially practice a merciful severity. Let me give you my honest advice: First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honour of our LORD and of Christendom. Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed. Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them. Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb. Fifth, I advise that safe conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the countryside, since they are not lords, officials, tradesmen, or the like. Let them stay at home. Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them, and put aside for safe keeping. Seventh, I recommend putting a flail, an axe, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hand of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow.”

Oh yes, the historically racist teachings within the Church was music to Nazi ears and eventually put into devastating usage that finally became the Holocaust. Millions of good German Christians also stood by as the evil unfolded.

Therefore, one may ask, will Mr Cameron also be investigating and closing down Christian schools that are based on the very same type of  anti-Semitic bile in view of his OWN remarks about extremism in Islam If not why not – or is this just more hypocritical, overtly selective, vote-creaming hypocrisy?

I seem to recall that there is quite a bit of needle between Jews and Arabs about what is happening to certain lands (with regards to claims of ownership etc) in the East.

Consequently, making wildly generalised statements like this may simply create more frustration and hatred in society, not less.

Pouring petrol on a fire may seem like a good idea to a politician seeking greater prominence but it may have disastrous consequences for us all; especially after the terrible events that have happened recently with the Paris bombings.

CAMERON’S PREVIOUS DOUBLE STANDARDS EXPOSED

So, today our imprudent PM wants to close Muslim schools that fail to meet ‘his’ self-righteous, Christian-orientated religious criterion.

However, not so long ago he appeared to be giving fundamentalist radicalism an open door in UK society.  Cameron’s support for sickening Ritual Animal Abuse, to appease religious types, is no secret.

It’s rather amusing that this politician is now running around talking the tough-man talk when previously he was openly welcoming ritualised animal abuse into the UK. He said a while back…

“Let me make it absolutely clear, that while I am Prime Minister of this country, halal is safe in Britain.”

NB. Claims have been made internationally that there may be a link between Halal and terrorism.

It seems to me (as a simple Lancashire lad) that the PM says one thing to one group and another thing to the next. We used to call this feeble type of ‘suck-up’ attitude – ‘playing both ends against the middle.’

Straight talking against the calamitous threats of fundamentalist terrorism is welcomed and all fine and dandy – but baloney and duplicity, like the above, helps none of us feeler safer in our beds.

Fundamentalism (regardless of what phony religious listing it may be connected to) is the real enemy of freedom and like others; Cameron cannot have his cake and eat it!
