I had intended to go dry fly fishing into the mountain wilderness of Lancashire, but our Jasmine had other ideas.
She suddenly decided that we should do a 'Mr Crabtree' and go canal fishing. So off we tootled to the lazy old Leeds and Liverpool stretch.
Jasmine ended up pinching my old Allcocks Record Breaker centrepin reel and vintage cane rod.
I even managed to get a shot of a male Orange Tip feeding on cranesbill, which is usually a hard to achieve task. They flutter about all over the place, yet rarely stop long enough to allow a photo to be taken.
