High Tide on Xmas Eve 2014 at Southport 

It was very windy but Jason and I thought we would grab a few shots of the high tide by the pier today.

Exhilarating stuff in the brisk sea gale... 

The sea wall received a battering...

 

Pier train keeps on rolling 

Silver sea towards Birkdale

 

Wrapping up warm was essential  

Keeping an eye peeled for who knows what? 

 

I used to do plenty of that too when I was a kid on the pier  

Towards the northern end of the sea wall

 

And finally back to dry land...
