In the chronological scale of events mankind arrived on the scene mega fast. We like to think we are so damn clever yet we all now stand on the brink of disaster.
Before us, all types of creatures roamed the land and swam in the vast oceans for many millions of years. Today, we are ALL being held to ransom by the world’s ultra-rich and self-righteous dictators (i.e. respected leaders) who seem to be preparing to recklessly destroy not only humanity but also the rest of the world’s creatures.
It is long past the time that ordinary people everywhere woke up and said “No – we shall not allow you to kill us all and wreck this home we call Earth!”
Understandably, many will ask - "So what can we do to stop a nuclear holocaust with terrible ramifications?
I do not hold all the answers (no one does), yet we the 'People' are many whilst the leaders we vote into power are few. History does teach us one valuable lesson. When things are so basically wrong the public can rise up and change things - it's happened before and it can happen again!
Will we face the unendurable, like sheep to the slaughter and follow the path of the dinosaurs into a far distant memory? Alternatively, will we come to realise that we must ultimately rise up and say 'no' to the self-centred, blubbering, maniacs who hold their fingers tentatively over the nuclear buttons?
Have we learned so little from all previous international conflicts that we can now let the sabre-rattling fools in power throw it all away so rapidly?
The waves
of change must start with us, the People, and your voice must be heard.
