Behind the main road appearance, things are not quite so wonderful.
Crumbling plaster and brickwork greet passers-by.
Rotting columns at the Lakeside Entrance, well past their prime
Outside the Theatre, rows of rusty and deeply corroded litter bins insult onlookers.
Next door, the Ramada feels almost like it's awaiting a similar fate to the Theatre with its 'To Let' sign and silent empty rooms.
The birds feeding around the lake don't seem to mind one iota though...
