Trolls, Tories and their tormented temper tantrums - just the way of things in a controversial writer's life

Everyday is fun and games - but that is just how it should be

An open letter of thanks to ‘Zoe Zamora’, the anonymous Facebook troll who always materialises like clockwork, following critical yet accurate articles regarding Southport’s bumbling Tory councillors, Hartill and Jones etc.

Zoe, I am informed by others (as you have blocked me from seeing your abusive posts under OTS articles) that you are still seeking to spread very unfriendly falsehoods about my books. I reiterate that I have never published a book myself or spent money to get a book published and have publishers to do that task.

Proof is widely available of the latter and if you wish to claim otherwise then kindly put your money where you mouth is. I reiterate that you are an anonymous coward who has not got the courage to face real people although you have been challenged many times by me (and others) to come out from under your tiny stone. Just one small example here…

I also note that since you were criticised ‘again’ for your on-going abuse on OTS News site I have received a rather nasty review, holding no feasible content of worth, on a new book (Pagan Heritage) on Amazon. This revenge-ridden tirade was also by an unidentified detractor who lives in Southport. I presume this was intended to cause harm? This is quite comical as controversial writers (that means folk who are well  used to abuse) in fact ‘welcome’ hate-filled ravings such as this.

You don’t believe me? Well just look at the fame one ‘Mr Rushdie’ attracted after receiving his hate – laden fatwa from raving religious fundamentalists following the Satanic Verses'. In 2012, he published ‘Joseph Anton: A Memoir’, an account of his life in the wake of the controversy over The Satanic Verses…

I shall also tell you sincerely that my latest publisher told me that bad  reviews are actually welcomed when one is controversial, as this attracts a wider audience who wish to find out for themselves what all the fuss of all about. Of course sweet verses are nice when poets wish to attract glowing admiration, but when one is dealing with harsher issues the ground gets tougher.

I should add that I am well used to nasty letters as well. Again, if you don't believe me then do kindly ask Cllr Terry Jones, the Sefton Tory Chief, he knows what I mean.

Oddly enough, if you check that link you will see that this Conservative politician never had the decency to respond to me, subsequent to me answering his bizarre threat.

Manners today are not what they used to be I fear.

Nevertheless Zoe , thanks so much and regards to 'Tory HQ's Troll Department'!

A few of us try to think ‘OUTSIDE THE BOX’.

By doing this we become their favourite target and that is mainly because we expose their restricted mindset, insecurities and inadequacies.

They may call us, fools and heretics but that is the price freethinkers pay for challenging their stifling orthodoxy!
