Geese arriving for winter over the Lancashire Moss 




Lancashire and its brilliant bird life...

Every season the wonderful sight of thousands of wild geese arriving heralds the return of winter.

I managed to get quite close to these shy pink-footed (I think) and a few greylag geese  before they flew off to the next field. 



Winter is never far away when these guys turn up in such numbers...

Brilliant!
