Ainsdale’s political version of Laurel and Hardy – they need ‘your’ support - marvellous!

Their fantastic (truth not fiction) record so far...

They have blocked calls for local improvements

Threatened a local family with legal action who exposed them and created secret recordings

Ignored the fight to save Brookdale dementia care facility in their ward

Misused a community centre for political increase

Plus many other amazing achievements that would have more in keeping with Monty Python than local politics.

BUT GUESS WHAT – THEY WANT YOUR SUPPORT TO CARRY ON WITH THEIR GREAT WORK

The Spanish Inquisition?

Speaking of such things it seems that freedom of speech is under threat in some other areas too.

Six police officers arrested a pensioner for harassment and quizzed him for two hours over a series of satirical posters poking fun at local politicians.

Former Monty Python cameraman John Wellard, 71, told the uniformed officers who marched into his home on Friday night:

‘I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition.’

Nothing like a good bit of  old-fashioned, blind, censorship to keep them in order - or so they think!
